Delivering the first 25 Gig community-wide Internet service
November 10, 2022
EPB has always been at the forefront of delivering high speed internet service - being the first in North America to launch 1G community-wide internet service in 2010 followed by community-wide 10G service in 2015. Living up to that expectation, EPB recently announced the nation’s first community-wide 25 Gig internet service available to all residential and commercial customers. The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Convention Center is the first EPB customer to take advantage of 25 Gig internet service, making it the first convention center worldwide to offer such blazingly fast speeds over a broadband network. As conferences increasingly offer hybrid, virtual, e-gaming and live streaming events, it is critical to provide consistent, high speed and reliable connectivity to the thousands of devices to support these new high bandwidth applications.
EPB partnered with Arista Networks in upgrading the Convention Center’s space to Wi-Fi 6, WIPS and multi-gig PoE switching platform to provide customers with high connection speeds and security for both wireless and wired networks.
Please join EPB Product Manager Strategist Valerie Lucas and Arista to learn how EPB built the nation’s first 25 Gig internet service, how this is enabling new frontiers in tech innovation and job creation to benefit the whole community, and how the technology innovations from Arista made this a possibility.
