In this NetBuilders session we will discuss the latest standards and trends for deploying scalable and optimized multicast services within an EVPN environment. In this advanced session, we build on the concepts introduced in sessions 5 and 8, with an in-depth discussion on the operation of OISM (Optimized Inter-Subnet Multicast), it's interaction with A-A multihoming, and the utilization of Inclusive and Selective PMSI tunnels to optimise the forwarding plane. The session will also cover the new EVPN to EVPN GW (EEG) functionality to enable scalable OISM across domains, and the role of an EVPN PEG (PIM Edge Gateway) node when interacting with multicast applications external to the OISM domain.
